How to Maintain CMM During Holidays

The three-dimensional coordinate measuring machine is a precision measuring equipment, which requires regular maintenance to ensure its accuracy and stability. Here we discuss about CMM operation and maintenance matters during holidays.

Shutdown Procedure

1. Move all of the axes in the HOME position.

2. Move the probe to the safe position.

3. Push the E-stop button on the Joystick and cabinet.

4. Exit the measuring software.

5. Turn off the computer.

6. Shutdown the air source, and drain the filter of water and impurities.

7. Disconnect main power.

8. Do a good job of dust and moisture prevention in the measuring room.

Power on Procedure

1. Turn on the air-conditioner, make sure the temperature within 20±1℃ more than 8 hours.

2. Open the air source, make sue the air pressure more than 0.55 Mpa(5.5bars).

3. Use a dust-free cloth to wipe the equipment rail with alcohol.

4. Connect the main power.

5. Turn on the E-stop.

6. Open the measurig software.

7. Make sure that there is no defect of the machine running.
