7. Different kind of stylus.

    1) Spherical stylus

     Spherical contacts are used to measure size, shape, coordinates, etc. Ball diameter 0.3 ~ 8.0mm. The         material is made of industrial ruby, with high hardness and high resistance.

     2) Star stylus

     Used to measure the shape of the workpiece. Calibration and use of multiple measuring heads, so           that probe activity can be minimized and measurement holes or slots, etc.

     3) Cylindrical stylus

     Used for the application of cylindrical side surface, measuring the size between thin sections, curve           image or machining holes, etc. As long as the measurement of cylindrical section deviation is useful,         there are many cases of axial deviation measurement; When using the whole cylindrical probe                   (height), the cylindrical axis and the coordinate measuring machine axis should be consistent                     (generally, it is best to measure in a unified section).

     4) Disk stylus

     Used for measuring the part of outer diameter or thickness; It is also used to measure the size                   between bottlenecks, gap width, etc. Application of ring gauge.

    5) Point stylus

    Ordinary XY measurement is not used; Used for measuring screw slots with low accuracy, points or          crack scratches of the ruler, etc. Compared to using a point probe with a radius, it can be calibrated          more precisely to measure the position of very small holes.

    6) Hemispherical stylus

    Used to measure deep features and holes, etc.; Measurement of rough looking workpieces is also useful.
